This Remington manufactured second variation barreled receiver and guard assembly are for the model 12-CS takedown slide action rimfire rifle and is in very good condition retaining a healthy amount of original blue finish blending with a brown patina and possibly having some scattered surface rust specks and light wear. This assembly consists of the 24" long octagon barrel in 22 Rem. Special caliber, receiver with both receiver bushings and the intermediate variation trigger guard which has a matching serial number to the receiver and includes both receiver & guard guide pins. The intermediate variation trigger guard is designed for the early variation ejector plunger case assembly and not the late ejector plunger case assembly nor the earlier designed 1909 variant ejector. The ejector plunger case assembly is sold separately. The receiver is the only part on the model 12-CS rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer.
